The Girard-Perregaux 1966 collection reflects the brand’s ability to produce pure watchmaking classics. The latest addition in this line, the 1966 Small Second, embodies the essence of a refined timepiece right down to the smallest details.
This piece is at once modern and timeless. The 40mm round case strikes a balance between the petite dress watches of yesterday and the larger pieces that are the fashion today.
Girard-Perregaux says the design is largely inspired by the manufacture’s 19th century pocket watches. For this reason, Grand Feu enamel was the only choice for the dial, as it offers a firm historical connection, singular depth, and unique a character. Elegant painted Arabic numerals and blued steel leaf-shaped hour and minute hands compliment the artisanal dial.
This model is powered by a new automatic movement, developed from the Girard-Perregaux caliber 3300, which offers a small second display that is just slightly offset to balance the design. The new movement, with its diverse decorations and finishes, can be viewed through a transparent sapphire case-back.
The USA MSRP for the pink gold model is $21,300.
